Summary

When you book on PitchUp, you pay for a place at a football match at a real venue. If the host cancels, you get all your money back. If you cancel, how much you get back depends on how much notice you give.

If you cancel

  • 24 hours or more before kick-off: full refund.
  • Between 6 and 24 hours before kick-off: 50% refund.
  • Less than 6 hours before kick-off: no refund.

Cancelling early also gives your spot to someone on the waitlist, so please cancel as soon as you know you can't play.

If the host cancels

If the host cancels the game, you get a full refund, however close to kick-off it is.

How to cancel

Open My bookings in the PitchUp app, choose the game and cancel your booking. The app shows how much you'll get back before you confirm.

How we work out your refund

  • Notice is measured from the time you cancel, as recorded by our server, to kick-off in the venue's local time.
  • Half refunds are rounded down to the nearest forint.
  • Cancelling your spot and receiving the refund are two separate steps. Your booking shows the refund status and the exact amount.

When the money arrives

Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with, through our payment provider, Stripe. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank. If a refund is pending or fails, it stays visible on your booking until it's resolved.
